Silverpoint Drawing
10×8″ ocher prepared paper

The Bucks County newspapers have recently published an interview I gave about silverpoint, a drawing medium which pre-dates the graphite pencil. It appeared in these locals: New Hope Life, Yardley Voice, Doylestown Observer, and a few others. Please see Times Publishing Newspapers, Inc. for the full article.

This portrait was based on a photo I took of a mason at work. I loved the hat! Reminiscent of the Renaissance-era – a time when silverpoint was at its height, by the way. My first silverpoints were copied from faces I saw in paintings by Botticelli, DaVinci, VanDyke and many others from that period.

This drawing has been SOLD, but please ask about commissioned portraits from photos.
