Silverpoint Drawing
3.5×4″ green-gray prepared paper
Silverpoint pre-dates the pencil as a drawing medium and reached its height during the Renaissance, though some of the earliest drawings date to the 12th century. The artist draws with a silver stylus on a coated surface; the lines deposited are actually silver and will tarnish over time to a sepia tone. To learn more about Silverpoint please visit my website.
For this drawing I prepared the paper with a green-gray tone and used white charcoal highlights. The buyer will receive this drawing matted and protected in clear acetate. A Silverpoint Description card will accompany it.

Silverpoint Drawing
5×7″ green-gray prepared paper
This drawing is created with a silver stylus on a specially coated surface – a Renaissance-era medium known as silverpoint. I prepared the paper with a green-gray tone and added white charcoal highlights. Silverpoint will tarnish to a metallic sepia tone over time. To learn more about it, and to see the silverpoint box and stylus holders that I made, please visit my website. Don’t forget to subscribe to The Art Fly to receive images as I post them!
For an inside look at this shell, please see May 2009 archives at upper right; go to May 7 post for an x-ray view of this.

Oil Painting
5×7″
Here’s another of the small Impressionistic landscapes I’ve been painting for local galleries. This rolling sunflower field was near Stockton, NJ and seemed to go on forever.
SOLD. Please email me about similar paintings.

Acrylic Painting
5×7″ panel
I’ve been working on small, rather Impressionistic landscapes like this – mostly Bucks County, PA and Hunterdon County, NJ scenes – that I promised to a few local galleries. I’m particularly attracted to deep space with long rows of trees, fields and lanes, etc. I’ll post the images here first before taking them to the galleries…
SOLD. Please email me if you are interested in other paintings like this.

I really loved this scene – the bright blue sky with clouds rolling by the stretched wires. The vines were interwoven and growing across the wires like long nests.
SOLD. Please ask about something similar.
